Personal Statement about APHA-SA:  The APHA-SA is an excellent group to network and meet fellow health professionals across the nation and the world. In addition to providing opportunities to become involved at multiple levels, APHA-SA also creates great possibilities for networking and negotiating the complex field of public health.

I hope to contribute to the APHA-SA by expanding and strengthening our collaborations with other sections, SPIGs, affiliates, forums and caucuses in APHA. I hope to introduce multiple career sessions focused on the varied professions represented at the annual meeting and continue the great tradition of having student research spotlighted at this year’s annual meeting in Philadelphia.

Anyone interested in helping develop and execute the student assembly vision at this year’s annual meeting, feel free to contact me!
