Personal Statement about APHA-SA:
My desire to take on the position of action committee co-chair is motivated by my firm belief in the need to facilitate public health solidarity.  I emphatically believe that increased community service and diverse involvement offer a vital opportunity for hands-on experience and service-learning exchange.  In acting on behalf of APHA, I hope to encourage nation-wide public health students to take action in strengthening health initiatives within their local communities and publicize opportunities for health advocacy.  The role of intensifying health initiatives and their implementation becomes a crucial responsibility of the public health field in this age of evidence-based medicine.
