Plans after school: After I graduate, I hope to dive right into the field of public health, specifically in the domain of Health Education and primary prevention. Currently, I work as a health facilitator for a randomized study intervention for at-risk adolescents in Yonkers, NY. I hope that these skills that I have learned and gained will help to land me into an even bigger role in health education and prevention upon completion of my MPH degree and CHES certification.

Personal Statement about APHA-SA: Joining APHA-SA has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. APHA-SA membership has opened up and continues to offer a wealth of opportunities, important news and information, and invaluable networking connections that I would not have encountered otherwise. I believe that joining APHA-SA and becoming a leader of one the committees has positively influenced my professional growth. I encourage each of you to take advantage of APHA-SA and to discover your potential by becoming an active member and joining any one of our committees.
