The Quad Council

The Quad Council is a coordinating organization of the four nursing organizations that have a focus on public/community health nursing. The organizations are:

The President/Chair of each of these organizations is a member of the Quad Council. The Council meets annually at the American Public Health Association Meeting and has conference calls in between annual meetings. The purpose of the Council is to assure coordination of activities which further Public/Community Health Nursing and encourage joint development of projects that support this goal. Examples of past work include the development and ratification by each participating organization of the "Definition of Public Health Nursing" and the "Scope and Standards of Public Health Nursing."
