Current Research/Area of Study: I completed my master's paper in December, entitled "Prescription Contraceptive Use in Young Women: Are There Differences by Health Insurance Status?"
My general research interests look at the effects of health and social policy on health. I am also very interested in the politics and policy surrounding health care reform and how legislative and administrative health policy can improve or exacerbate health disparities. I also have been involved in research on economic security and wealth-building programs for low and moderate income households.

Current Work: I completed both my MPH and MSW in December 2009. I am completing a Congressional Fellowship through the Women's Research and Education Institute (WREI), serving as a legislative assistant for health and women's policy in the office of Rep. Lois Capps [CA-23].
