Activities for this year:
Goal #1: Select qualified, well matched candidates for the 2008 elections
Activities:
- Send out a mass email to the section asking for people who wish to run for office
- Committee members solicit persons they think would be good candidates
- Committee reviews those who respond, draws up the slate of candidates
- APHA sends out the routine election notice in April
Goal #2: Address gap in coverage for secretary-elect
Activities:
- Solicit candidates (one was already identified at annual meeting)
- Notify APHA of candidates, write Zoomerang blurb for election announcement
- APHA sends out the election notice in January 2008
Goal #2: Address gap in coverage for governing councilor
Activities:
- Solicit candidates for a one-year term (offer to last spring’s unsuccessful candidates)
- Notify APHA of candidates, write Zoomerang blurb for election announcement
- APHA sends out the election notice in January 2008
