Postdoctoral Fellowships
The Epidemiology Branch is an intramural research program within the Division of Epidemiology, Statistics, and Prevention Research at the NICHD. The Branch’s mission is to conduct original research focusing on human reproduction, pregnancy, and child health. Branch scientists are internationally recognized as leaders in these areas, and are recruiting fellows particularly interested in reproduction, fetal growth and development, pregnancy complications (e.g., gestational diabetes and preeclampsia), genetic and environmental etiologies of birth defects, and life course epidemiologic paradigms for gynecologic/gravid diseases and later onset adult diseases (e.g., transition of gestational diabetes to type 2 diabetes). Postdoctoral fellows have the opportunity to develop their own research initiatives within the mission of the Branch. Candidates legally approved to work in the USA and either with an earned doctoral degree in epidemiology or a closely related field or with a medical degree and advanced graduate training in epidemiology or biostatistics within the past five years are invited to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated research interests in areas currently under investigation in the Branch and with superior analytic and communication skills. Salary is commensurate with training and relevant research experience.
