The National Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign has been under development for two years as a collaborative effort with the United States Breastfeeding Committee, the DHHS Office of Women's Health and the Ad Council. As you know, this is a "hot" topic with the New York Times article featuring a DHHS Undersecretary of Health, American Academy of Pediatrics President and Executive Director, and American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Breastfeeding Chairperson (Dec. 4, 2003) and CBC Morning Show (Dec. 31, 2003) debate between the United States Breastfeeding Committee Chairperson and the American Academy of Pediatrics President.
