Congratulations Billie Weiss, 2008 California Peace Prize Honoree

We congratulate our friend, colleague and UNITY Co-Chair Billie Weiss on being honored with a 2008 California Peace Prize by The California Wellness Foundation. Billie was acknowledged for her pioneering public health research that helps community-based organizations become more effective in preventing violence. Each honoree receives a cash award of $25,000 as an acknowledgment of his/her commitment to prevent violence and promote peace in his/her community.
