Interested in helping formulate policy for APHA? If you are, the HIV/AIDS Section needs you! This year, we helped spearhead a multi-disciplinary effort between Sections, Caucuses, and Committees to develop, submit, and support a policy on Comprehensive Sexuality Education in K-12 Schools. This policy will be discussed during the Annual Meeting (Group C, Sunday afternoon from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.) and brought before Governing Council for vote. We encourage you to attend the policy discussion at the Annual Meeting.

We also encourage you to participate in policy development with the HIV/AIDS Section this coming year! The deadline for submissions of policies is March 15, 2006. Members may log on to APHA’s website for more information on the policy submission process (2005 info): http://www.apha.org/private/ppolicy.htm. The 2006 information will be available soon.
