The Epidemiology Section's Awards Session and Annual Wade Hampton Frost Lecture is scheduled for Monday afternoon from 4:30 until 6:00. The three awards annually given by the Epidemiology Section are: 1) The John Snow Award, which recognizes an outstanding epidemiologist for excellence in epidemiologic practice or research; 2) The Abraham Lilienfeld Award, which recognizes excellence in the teaching of epidemiology during the course of a career; and 3) The Wade Hampton Frost Lectureship Award, which recognizes a person who has made a significant contribution to addressing a public health issue of major importance by applying epidemiologic principles and methods.
