In June 2005, the Philadelphia Fatherhood Practitioners Network, a program convened by Resources for Children's Health, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization that promotes positive parenting, healthy pregnancies, and healthy children, held a policy breakfast to issue four policy recommendations that enhance and expand benefits to fathers and their families in areas related to child support payments, tax credits, and parental rights of incarcerated fathers. The meeting featured a policy discussion by David Jeffrey Pate, Jr., PhD, executive director of the Center for Families and Pubic Policy in Wisconsin. Resources for Children's Health is interested in hearing about other local policy efforts aimed at helping fathers and their families.
