Being in D.C. for the Annual Meeting gives APHA members a unique opportunity to meet with their members of Congress to discuss the importance of public health. APHA staff will be providing materials for you to take to Hill visits, which will be available online and in hard copy at the Advocacy Booth at the Annual Meeting Expo. We strongly encourage individuals to contact their members of Congress to schedule a meeting while in D.C. Please contact Karen Peters (kpeters@uic.edu), Aging and Public Health Action Board representative, if you are interested in scheduling a visit to the Hill, and she will be happy provide you with tips and techniques for conducting a successful visit.
