This award is made by the Section Chair to recognize the contributions to the section over multiple years.

This year the award is given to Brenda Wamsley, who has consistently worked to help the section by working on fundraising and with Annual Meeting arrangements. She chaired the Archstone Foundation Award selection committee for the first four years of the Award, conceptualized and wrote the endowment proposal, and developed the selection criteria and procedure manual. She co-authored the proposal to the Retirement Research Foundation to secure their initial 10-year funding of the GH Section Student Awards. She has been Chair of the Auction and Raffle for the first three years and continues in that capacity. She and her agency, the Center for Aging and Healthcare in West Virginia, have been major contributors to the GHS Enrichment Fund and to the Betty J. Cleckley Minority Issues Research Award.
