Lene' Levy-Storms has obtained more than 10 restaurant gift certificates from New Orleans Eateries, many of which will be open soon. These gift certificates will be part of the "live" auction at the GH Section Social Hour in Philly. The stated value exceeds $850 for the gift certificates, which come from some of the finest restaurants in the French Quarter. I will also add 10 good antiques to the Katrina "fund." Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to the CDC Foundation, which is using the funds to rebuild the public health infastructure in the Gulf Coast Area. The other 50 percent will go toward the endowment of the Weiler Leadership Award. Phil Weiler, MD, MPH, was a native of New Orleans.

Please attend the GH Section Award Session and Social Hour/Auction on Monday, Dec. 12, 6:30-9:30 p.m., to make a contribution to the Katrina Fund.
