Each year, APHA sponsors Continuing Education Institutes on a wide range of topics in conjunction with the Annual Meeting.  To encourage public health practitioners to become fully engaged in traffic safety programming and educational activities, APHA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the Department of Transportation are pleased to announce the Public Health Traffic Safety Institute for Preventing Impaired Driving on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 in Boston. This full-day training will be offered as a Continuing Education Institute. Registration for this institute is free and limited to the first 50 registrants.  The Institute will focus on the promotion and use of Alcohol Screening and Brief Intervention. On-site registration will not be available for this Institute. For more information, contact Mighty Fine, MPH, at (202) 777-2493 or mighty.fine@apha.org.
