Travel to Boston
Getting to Boston is easy! The Boston area is served by Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Amtrak via Boston South Station (BOS).

Special discounted travel fares have been negotiated for APHA Annual Meeting Attendees with American Airlines, Delta, United Airlines, Amtrak and Avis Car Rental.

Getting Around the Annual Meeting
Sessions and events will take place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) and the Westin Boston Waterfront which are attached via a sky bridge.

APHA provides complimentary shuttle service between official APHA hotels and the BCEC with the exception of the hotels within walking distance.

For those with mobility issues, APHA has ensured that wheelchair accessible buses are available on every route and that on-call accessible transportation is available. APHA will reimburse attendees who are unable to utilize APHA shuttle buses and on call transportation options to and from the BCEC and official APHA hotels only. Public Transportation
There are many opportunities to get to the BCEC via Public Transportation.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority(MBTA)

  • From Logan Airport, take the Sliver Line Bus SL1 to the World Trade Center stop. Take the elevator up to Level 2 and walk across the street to the BCEC.
  • Take the MBTA to the South Station Stop. Go up one flight of stairs and take the Silver line SL1, SL2 or SL 3 to the World Trade Center stop. Take the elevator up to Level 2 and walk across the street to the BCEC

Amtrak or Commuter Rail
Exit at the South Station stop and proceed to Summer Street. The BCEC is 1 mile from the South Station.

MBTA Boat or City Water Taxi
Water transportation services are available from locations near the BCEC to several locations throughout Boston's waterfront. The MBTA provides service between Lovejoy Wharf at North Station and the World Trade Center, which is a 7-10 minute walk from the BCEC. Water taxi service also connects the World Trade Center with a number of waterfront destinations, including Logan Airport.
