Transportation to and from the Airports

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Dulles International Airport Baltimore-Washington International Airport
MARC Trains MARC Trains provide service from the BWI Rail Station to Union Station. Free shuttles from the airport will take you to the BWI Rail Station. To contact the BWI Rail Station, please call 410-672-6169. For specific information about MARC Train service and to verify MARC schedules call 1-800-325-RAIL or go to www.mtamaryland.com.
- Take the MARC train from BWI Rail Station to Washington's Union Station.
- Union Station is 10 blocks east of theWalter E. Washington Convention Center.
- You may take a taxi or take the Red Line Metro train marked Shady Grove from the Union Station Metro stop located within Union Station.
- Exit the Red Line train at the Gallery Place Station. (This is the 2nd stop from Union Station)
- Transfer at Gallery Place station to the Yellow Line train marked Mt. Vernon Square / Convention Center.
- Exit the Yellow Line train at the Mt. Vernon Square / Convention Center Metro Station. (This is the first stop after boarding the Yellow Line train)
- Upon Exiting the Mt. Vernon Square Metro Station, the entrance to the Convention Center will be directly in front of you.
Airport Shuttles A number of shuttle services provide transportation to and from the local Airports and downtown Washington, DC. From the Airports, vans are available on a walk-up basis. To the Airport, advanced reservations are required (rates range from $10-$30 each way). The following companies provide van service to and from the airport:
- Super Shuttle: 1-800-BLUE-VAN or 703-416-7873 local office
- The Airport Shuttle: 1-800-776-0323.
- Washington Flyer: Direct transportation from Dulles International to the Metrorail West Falls Church Station (Orange Line) every 30 minutes. For tickets, call 1-888-927-4359.
- BWI Express: connects BWI Airport to the Greenbelt Metro Station. Go to the lower level of the International Pier. The B30 will pick you up outside at the bus shelter. Follow the signs that say “Public Transit.” A route map and schedule is available on Metro's website www.wmata.com
Metrorail & Metrobus Metrorail opens at 5:30 am weekdays and 7:00 am on weekends. It closes at midnight Sunday to Thursday. On Friday and Saturday nights, it stays open until 3:00 am. Fare is based on distance traveled and increases during rush hour. Rail farecards can be purchased at vending machines located inside the stations. Ronald Reagan National Airport
- Metro Station is located on the Concourse (Level 2).
- Take the Yellow Line Train marked Mt. Vernon Square / Convention Center.
- Exit the train at the Mt. Vernon Square / Convention Center stop. (The Mt. Vernon Square / Convention Center Station is the 7th and final stop on the Yellow Line from Ronald Reagan National Airport).
- Upon exiting the Mt. Vernon Square Metro Station, the entrance to the Convention Center will be directly in front of you.
Taxi Service Taxis are readily available from the Airports and one-way cab fare to or from Downtown Washington, DC range from $11-25 from Ronald Reagan National and $44-61 from Dulles and BWI Airports. Uniformed taxi curbside coordinators are on duty at the taxi zone at each terminal to assist passengers with questions or concerns. Taxi cabs can easily be found around Washington, DC.
