Late Breaker Call for Abstracts

The Injury Control and Emergency Health Services Section and Epidemiology Section are now accepting abstracts for late breaker sessions.

Injury Control and Emergency Health Services
Submission Deadline - July, 6 at 11:59 PM PST

Late breaker sessions are a forum for presenting research findings and programs that have been completed or transpired recently (i.e., since the February deadline of the original ICEHS Call for Abstracts). A brief statement should be included in the abstract (or in the expanded summary, described below) that justifies how the work meets this criterion of being "late-breaking".

Student Paper Award. Students are encouraged to submit a late breaker abstract. Accepted late breaker abstracts are eligible to be considered for the Student Paper Award and/or for best poster awards. Your preference to be considered can be indicated using the menus in the online submission website. To be eligible for the paper award, students must submit a complete manuscript by September 1, 2013.

Notification of abstract status will be e-mailed to all submitters in late July.

Submission Deadline - July, 9 at 11:59 PM PST

Abstracts must describe studies completed after the general February 2013 abstract deadline. Abstracts must be 250 words or less with the standard background, methods, results, and discussion sections. Abstracts submitted without results will not be reviewed. Studies that are specific to the theme of the conference, “Think Global, Act Local:  Best Practices Around the World”, will receive highest priority. Individuals should submit material only if they, or a designee, are committed to presenting the paper or poster and be registered for the conference.

Decisions will be sent to abstract submitters in mid-late August.
