What to do On-Site
LCD projectors and PC computers will be provided in each oral scientific session meeting room. The computers will be pre-loaded with the latest version of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Windows Media Player, RealTime and QuickTime. Only the presentations scheduled to take place in that specific meeting room will be loaded on the computer.
Personal laptops are not permitted. All meeting rooms will be pre-set to accommodate the voice and PowerPoint recording system.
- If your presentation is ready: If you have submitted your presentation in advance and have no changes to make, take a saved copy of your presentation (CD or USB/Flash Drive) and report directly to your scientific session meeting room 20 minutes prior to the start of the session.
- If you need to upload presentation or make changes: If you did not submit your presentation in advance or have changes to make to your previously submitted presentation, take a saved copy of your presentation (CD or USB/Flash Drive) and report directly to the Speaker Ready Room at least 16 hours before the start of the session. Note: You can only use the Speaker Ready Room in the property where your presentation is taking place.
- During the upload process, you will be asked for permission to record your presentation. NOTE: If you do not want your presentation recorded, it still needs to be uploaded in order to use the computer.
- If you miss the 16 hour deadline: report directly to your session room 20 minutes before it starts and upload directly to the PC. Presentations uploaded in the session room WILL NOT be recorded.
