The Annual Meeting consists of more than 1000 scientific sessions, roundtables, posters, pre-convention APHA Learning Institutes and panel discussions at which over 4,000 scientific papers will be presented. View the Schedule of Events or the Program at a Glance (PDF) to get an overall glimpse of how the program is organized, or check out the 2010 Online Program after June 1 for a comprehensive listing of scientific sessions. Abstracts and specific program presenter information are available from the Online Program in a searchable database with a personal scheduling application.
Scientific and educational programs are developed by the APHA Program Planning Committee with representatives from all 27 APHA Sections, 6 Special Primary Interest Groups [SPIGs], 17 Caucuses, 6 Forums, Student Assembly and the Film & Technology Theater.
2010 APHA Annual Meeting Theme - Social Justice: A Public Health Imperative
APHA Learning Institutes: Full and half-day educational programs are designed to provide an in-depth learning experience in the latest public health trends and topics. They are held on Saturday and Sunday (November 6-7, 2010) prior to the start of the Annual Meeting & Exposition.
- Continuing Education Credit: Earn Credits for attending the APHA Annual Meeting. Details will be available after June 1. NOTE: This product can be purchased when you register for the Annual Meeting.
- Recorded Presentations: APHA has expanded the educational experience of both presenters and attendees at the Annual Meeting. Web-based technology that enables voice and PowerPoint presentations will be recorded and uploaded to the APHA website following the meeting (additional fees apply).
