Accessible Housing and Transportation

All ADA-designated hotel rooms will be specifically set aside for individuals requesting them. These rooms are guaranteed. Each year APHA conducts a detailed accessibility survey of all official APHA hotels. These surveys (completed by the hotels) provide information about accessible entrances, parking and drop-off areas and information regarding accessible public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms, restaurants, hotel amenities and assistive devices.  Use this information to select the hotel that best meets your needs.

Make hotel reservations as early as possible as there are a limited number of accessible rooms available at each property.

Hotel Access Training
To further facilitate an accessible meeting, APHA offers free accessibility training to the staff at the meeting hotels, convention center and and vendors. This training is designed to heighten awareness and educate hotel and convention center staff on disability and accessibility issues prior to the arrival of APHA attendees.

To and from the Airport
Accessible shuttle service is available from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International airport to downtown New Orleans. Advance reservations are required 48 hours prior to travel for all accessible transport requests. Call 504-522-3500 for more details or to make a reservation. Arrangements for return pick up from hotel to the airport can be made at the same time or separately by calling the number above.
