Sign Language Interpreters
Attendees can request a sign language interpreter for the Annual Meeting by submitting a form to APHA.

On-site requests for interpreters can be made at the Accessibility Booth in the registration area; however, APHA cannot guarantee a sign language interpreter will be available to accommodate a request without advance notice.

The Opening and Closing General Sessions will have sign language interpreters assigned to the program.

Assistive Listening Devices
A limited number of assistive listening devices will be available.  There is no charge for the use of these devices, available on a first-come, first-served basis.  This technology generally involves the installation of "transmitters" in the room of the session you wish to attend. Sound is transmitted to headphones provided to the attendees.

It is suggested that you submit your Assistive Listening Device Form in advance of the Annual Meeting. Please email the form to access@apha.org.

Arrangements can be made on-site, but keep in mind that 2- hour advance notice is required in order to provide technicians with sufficient time to install the devices. On-site requests can be made through the Freeman Audio Visual Office (Room 208) at the convention center.
