Hotel Accessibility Surveys
The San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) will house registration, the APHA Public Health Exposition, Public Health CareerMart, Everything APHA, Message Center, Poster Sessions, Activity Posting Center, several Special Sessions and many concurrent scientific sessions. APHA will also be using two meeting hotels for sessions and events. Every effort is made to schedule all scientific sessions and business meetings for each APHA Section, SPIG or Caucus at a specific hotel or at the SDCC. View the Guide to the Location of Sections (available May 27) to determine the headquarters property for each section, SPIG and caucus. Free shuttle service will be provided from the official hotels to the SDCC.
Hotel Accessibility Surveys
Each year APHA conducts detailed accessibility surveys (PDF) of all official APHA hotels. These surveys (completed by the hotels) provide information about accessible entrances, parking and drop-off areas and information regarding accessible public ares, guest rooms, meeting rooms, restaurants, hotel amenities and assistive devices. Copies of the survey results can also be requested through access@apha.org or by calling (202) 777-2504. This information is provided to our members and registrants to enable them to select the hotel that best meets their needs. The Online Housing Form also provides specific accessibility information and detailed descriptions of each hotel. Make hotel reservations as early as possible as there are a limited number of accessible rooms available at each property.
Making Hotel Reservations
Hotel reservations can be made through the Online Housing Form, by submitting the paper Housing Reservation Form (PDF) or by calling the APHA Housing Bureau. All hotel desginated ADA rooms will be specifically set aside for individuals requesting them on the Housing Reservation Form. (reservations can be made online or via fax or phone).
