Building public health infrastructure and capacity

Over the past several years, federal funding for important public health programs and agencies has been threatened and even cut -- dramatically underscoring the need to educate the Administration, members of Congress, and the public about the vital role of public health programs in the United States.

APHA continues to lead advocacy efforts and develop resources for public health professionals to inform decision makers and the public about the success of adequately funded public health programs in an effort to restore and increase funding in this critical area.
