Registration now open for APHA’s Midyear Meeting

Washington, D.C., March 22, 2012 – Registration is now open for the American Public Health Association’s Midyear Meeting in Charlotte, N.C., June 26-28.

The 2012 APHA Midyear Meeting, themed “The New Public Health: Rewiring for the Future,” will feature top public health leaders who will discuss the latest challenges facing public health and emerging opportunities for innovation in delivering public health services.  The opening session will focus on how public health and health care both can change to create a more integrated system and ultimately a healthier nation. Donald Berwick, MPP, MD, former administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, will deliver the keynote.

In addition, the meeting will offer opportunities to hear from local leaders, including those in North Carolina, about the public health infrastructure. The full list of speakers is available online.
