Press registration is now open for the American Public Health Association’s 137th Annual Meeting and Exposition in Philadelphia, Pa., Nov. 7-11. Registration is available online at www.apha.org/about/news/ampressinfo/09pressregistration.htm.
The 2009 APHA Annual Meeting and Exposition is themed “Water and Public Health: The 21st Century Challenge” and will feature public health experts sharing their work on a wide array of topics significant in today’s health climate. Topics will include health reform, the H1N1 virus, climate change and health, the health issues of transportation and much more. The event will also highlight keynote speaker Céline Cousteau, an “oceanaut” and educational ambassador whose work is featured in a PBS series “Jean-Michael Cousteau: Ocean Adventures.”
The APHA Annual Meeting and Exposition is the oldest and largest gathering of public health professionals in the world. A program schedule for each scientific session, searchable previews for sessions and the presentation abstracts are available online at www.apha.org/meetings/sessions. Final programs with session locations along with daily news media updates will be available on site at the APHA Press Office.
