Illinois Public Health Emergency Preparedness Summit

The Illinois Department of Public Health, in partnership with the Illinois Public Health Association, is hosting its annual statewide Public Health Emergency Preparedness Summit to be held near Chicago, July 14-16, 2009. The theme this year is "Strengthening Illinois Through Community Engagement" and we anticipate approximately 1,000 attendees. The multidisciplinary summit program is designed to benefit a broad range of public health professionals involved in emergency preparedness, planning and response, including state and local health professionals in the following disciplines: public health administration, environmental health, nursing, communicable disease, laboratory services, food protection, immunization, hospital emergency services, allied health and other emergency response areas.

The conference offers keynote presentations, concurrent sessions, an exhibit hall, roundtable presentations, networking receptions, continuing education credits and a book signing event!
