Alex Bryan is currently an MD/MPH student at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Alex serves as Chair for the American Public Health Association Student Assembly after having served as Development Chair, Affiliate Liaison Chair and Chair-Elect. As a student, Alex’s main area of interest is in the shift of healthcare to better address public health issues such as chronic conditions and access limitations. He has been active in research involving hospitalization risk prediction, and his MPH capstone examines a collaborative which co-locates a range of health services for an underserved community in North Philadelphia. After graduation, Alex hopes to work as a clinician and researcher, combining his involvement in healthcare at both the individual and population levels to further explore healthcare’s changing role in public health.
Alex graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Architecture from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2010.
