Personal Statement about APHA-SA: I have been interested in the American Public Health Association since I began my MPH, but was not sure how to get involved. In the past three years I have been able to get involved through attending and presenting at the annual meetings, reviewing abstracts, and I have been fortunate to be on the Executive Board of the Student Assembly. It is a unique and wonderful experience to connect with peers all of the country (and in other parts of the world). I feel that it strengthens my commitment to public health and broadens my network of colleagues. It is inspiring to work with others who demonstrate such passion and dedication to the field of public health. I am quite proud to represent APHA Student Assembly and the great work that is being done through public health.
