Plans after school: I hope to eventually return to Canada to work in the health policy arena after gaining some experience in the US. I would love to work for an organization where my skills in policy formulation and analysis, economic evaluation, and business strategy will be put to good use.
Personal Statement about APHA-SA: When I first moved to the US to start my Master's, I was immediately drawn to the APHA-SA because of its enormous potential to unite public health professionals-in-training to effect positive change in the profession. I was inspired by the sheer number of students across the country and their passion for public health, ranging from food policy & obesity to clinical genetics! I am excited to serve in this role by ensuring each Campus Liaison receives adequate support in order to be able to promote the APHA to students across the country. If you're thinking about getting involved with APHA-SA, don't hesitate to contact us! Everyone here is so happy to help you find your place, no matter what your interests are.
