All in this Together - Public Health and Community Benefit
Breakout Sessions 2001.0 & 2006.0 Wednesday, June 27 - 10:30AM-12:30PM A repeat of this session will be offered from 3:00PM-5:00PM
The Affordable Care Act strengthened the requirement for non-profit hospitals to demonstrate their commitment to community health by conducting a community health needs assessment (CHNA) along with a strategy to address the identified needs to support their non-profit tax status. This creates an outstanding potential to improve the health of the community through new partnerships that include the hospitals, experts in public health and community leaders.
This session will focus on the requirements regarding the CHNA, the framework for maximizing the utility of the CHNA for the community benefit, and models for collaboration among the required partners.
