Building the Evidence Base for Public Health
Breakout Session 1002.0 Tuesday, June 26 - 3:00PM-5:00PM
Since early public health interventions were often trial and error, there has been a move to create an evidence-base approach to support public health interventions. Finding the balance between adhering to the evidence while moving forward with critical services and program to improve the nation’s health is always a challenge but is becoming more important in this fiscal climate. This session will focus on some of the approaches currently underway by the federal government and academic experts to help establish a evidence-based approach to the field of public health and highlight the benefits to healthier communities.
