Social media and digital communications have emerged as forces in community and health settings for improving health behaviors and outcomes. The proliferation of new technologies offers important new ways for educating and engaging the public.

Learn how social and new media, such as Twitter, Facebook and texting, are being applied in public health settings and how these trends will impact the public health community as it rewires for the future. The session will also survey the evidence base of this growing field and present guidance for integrating social media into existing public health work.
