29 States, Nine Justices, Two lawsuits: What does it all mean for the nation’s health?

Nearing the second anniversary of the passage of the Affordable Care Act, litigation has provided the public health and health care community with some responses to key policy issues and barriers identified when the law was passed. Public health practitioners need to have an understanding of the key elements of the legal debate so as to be viable participants at policy tables in their jurisdictions.

This session will focus on the legal issues articulated through the recent Supreme Court decision and will identify appropriate courses of action for public health to consider for the future.
