Goal: To develop a draft strategy for IH Section role within and external to APHA for membership consideration
Activities:
1. Complete a draft for a survey in coordination with at least the chairs of membership and website by end of January
2. With APHA staff and committee members, complete a brief strategy sheet covering IH strategic roles in APHA
3. Send survey and draft to IH membership and possibly a separate subgroup of members at large by end February/March
4. Analyze survey, and propose action based on outcomes by end April/May
5. Offer strategy to Section leadership for approval/consideration at mid-year meeting.
Organizational arrangements:
To date, we have communicated by email. This will continue, adding conference calls if possible with co-chairs.
A conference call is planned with co-chairs, Rose Schneider and Eckhard Kleinau, to ensure that the Survey also meets their committee needs.

Internal APHA organizational and communication issues:
Post our agenda for defining Global health Strategy for the Section on our web page;
Use the listserve for IH section to survey members for interest priorities; and
Work with Advocacy and other Committees to implement the Global Strategic approach for the Section.
