Founded in 1969, the CHPPD Section is an engaging place to share information and debate critical issues related to planning, and to learn how policy is shaped at the local, state and national levels. The Community Health Planning and Policy Development (CHPPD) Section members use evidence-based planning and policy approaches to eliminate disparities and promote healthy communities. Members, as part of a learning community, educate others on needs, gaps, best public health practices, articulate policy positions, and participate in addressing critical issues in public health.
