Onsite Services

A number of services are offered on site at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) and Westin Waterfront to make your experience at the APHA Annual Meeting and Exposition as successful and productive as possible.


Accessibility Services
Accessibility IconIn an effort to make the APHA Annual Meeting and Exposition accessible to the widest range of people possible, an accessibility booth will be staffed on site in the registration area at the BCEC to facilitate and manage any requests or questions pertaining to issues of Access.  Learn more about Accessibility and the APHA Annual Meeting.

Activity Posting Center
The Activity Posting Center is centrally located near registration at the BCEC where registrants are invited to post flyers or advertise meetings and events. Flyers or handouts may not be posted on any hotel or convention center walls. For the safety and consideration of all attendees, no flyers be distributed directly outside of meeting rooms or exhibit halls.

Lactation Lounge
Breastfeding IconIn response to members' requests, a lactation lounge will be designated at the BCEC and the Westin Waterfront to enable mothers to nurse or pump in a comfortable and private area.

Everything APHA
Everything APHA LogoEverything APHA, located in the center of the Public Health Expo, is the complete source for APHA information, publications, membership benefits and public health career opportunities.         

Everything APHA includes:

  • APHA Press - buy your official public health t-shirts, merchandise, and APHA publications.  APHA members can take advantage of discounts on books.
  • Public Health CareerMart CareerDay - The perfect opportunity Public Health CareerMart Logofor employers and job seekers to meet face-to-face. Prior to the meeting, employers can post job announcements online and reserve interview booths for onsite interviews. Job seekers can post resumes online and sign up for a private career coaching session with a professional career coach (these are paid sessions).   • APHA Membership-check out the online membership directory, correct your membership record and talk with APHA membership staff directly.

First Aid Station
First Aid IconA First Aid Station will be staffed at the BCEC in the North Lobby East. If you feel ill or need a place to lie down, go to the First Aid Station. In case of a medical emergency in the BCEC, call 617-954-2222 from a portable phone.

Electronic Information Center 
APHA's Electronic Information Centers enable registered attendees to check email or browse the Online Program from two locations in the BCEC; in the Public Health Expo and the Mix & Mingle Lounge. 

Information Desks
The APHA Annual Meeting is a big meeting with many opportunities. If you have questions navigating the Annual Meeting stop by one of the information desks to speak to our informative clerks. Information desks will be staffed at the Moscone Convention Center South and West buildings as well as the Marriott Marquis.

CE Evaluation Center
Computers are available in the registration area for attendees to complete CE evaluations. There is a $50 fee for continuing evalutation for CME, CNE, CPH and CHES credits. Registration for CE must be completed mo later than noon on November 6.

Mix and Mingle Lounge
The Mix & Mingle Lounge will be located in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the North Lobby. Take advantage of free WiFi and computers in the Electronic Information Center. Charge your phone, grab a bite to eat or simply relax between sessions.

Package Shipping and Copy Services
After a visit to the Exhibit Hall, don’t carry around those heavy packages. Take advantage of the business center at the BCEC to send your materials home. The Business Center is conveniently located near registration in the North Lobby West.

Registration
Onsite registration takes place in the BCEC in the North Lobby. To pick up your badge, program, or ask registrations, stop by  during the following hours:

  • Saturday - 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
  • Sunday - 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
  • Monday - 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Tuesday - 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Wednesday - 7:30 am - 12:30 pm

Shuttle Bus / ADA Transportation Service
Complimentary shuttle service will be provided between the BCEC and the official APHA Annual Meeting hotels with the exception of the hotels within walking distance. Visit the Shuttle Bus Service Desk in the BCEC for questions.

Wheelchair accessible buses are available on every route.  A wheelchair accessible van can also be scheduled upon request. Visit theShuttle Bus Service Desk to make arrangements. Arrangements can also be made by phone. Phone numbers will be published on shuttle signage, in the final program and in the badge mailing packet.

Student Connection
Located in the Public Health Expo, the Student Connection provides an opportunity for all public health students to congregate, meet other students and learn more about how to get involved in the APHA Student Assembly (booth #1400/1402).
